Nakolos collaborates to bring 5G Broadcast On Air in Amsterdam during IBC 2024
NPO (Dutch Public Broadcasting) is taking the next step by demonstrating the capabilities of 5G Broadcast during the International Broadcasting Convention 2024 in Amsterdam, technically facilitated by NPO’s FM and DAB+ network services provider Broadcast Partners and the suppliers Nakolos, Syes and COM-TECH.
NPO & Broadcast Partners are giving a 24/7 live 5G Broadcast demonstration during the International Broadcast Convention (IBC), the world’s leading media and technology trade show for broadcasting in Amsterdam. The Dutch national public broadcaster NPO will have the privilege of being the first broadcaster in the Netherlands to broadcast via 5G to demonstrate the capabilities of 5G Broadcast technology.
Two channels of public broadcasters, NPO 1 and NPO 3FM, will be transmitted via the 150 m high Cellnex RAI Amsterdam broadcasting tower from September 13 to 16 and will be available outdoors and partly indoors during the IBC2024.
Nakolos took on the role of the end-2-end integrator in this project, while also supplying the 5G broadcast core and the app.

Visit us at booth 7.P46 at RAI Amsterdam from 13th – 16th of September at the International Broadcasting Conference (IBC). This year, in additon to our own booth, Nakolos is also involved in several other demonstrations that showcase the benefits and potential of 5G Broadcast for the media industry.
